Explanation of Six Syllables
Closing the doors to the six realms, free sentient beings from sufferings and to be reborn in Buddha’s Pure Land.

OM closes the door to the suffering of being reborn in the gods’ realm. The suffering of the gods arises from foreseeing one’s fall from the gods’ realm.
This suffering comes from pride.

MA closes the door to the suffering of being reborn in the warring gods (asuras) realm. The suffering of these asuras is constant fighting.
This suffering comes from jealousy.

NI closes the door to the suffering of being reborn in the human realm. The suffering of humans is birth, sickness, old age, and death.
This suffering comes from desire.

PAD closes the door to the suffering of being reborn in the animal realm. The suffering of animals is stupidity, preying upon one another, being killed by men for meat, skin, et. And being beasts o burden.
This suffering comes from ignorance.

ME closes the door to the suffering of being reborn in the hungry ghosts’ realm. The suffering of hungry ghosts is hunger and thirst.
This suffering comes from greed.

HUM closes the door to the suffering of being reborn in the hell realm. The suffering of the hell is heat and cold.
This suffering comes from anger or hatred

From the above that have been extract from the Om mani Padme Hung, buhddism thread. I hereby wish to share my insights from the above extract, it may be short and simple but to me, its actually quite profound. So correct me if you have to. :)

If i am not wrong, (Human , Deva and Asuras) form the higher realms of the samsara and (Animal , Hungry Ghost and Hell) form the lower realms of samsara.

I remember hearing people saying that Human realm is the best realm to cultivate but i beg to differ. As Human Realm is the realm of desire, desire is the root of the other feelings of the other realms. If i am not wrong, The heart sutra says of emptiness and devoid of desires. When your heart have emptied away the desires, so is the sufferings being dumped away.

However, since desires lead to the other obstacles that can be found in other realm, this make the human realm a tough one but also because this is tough, it makes cultivation bloom if one do it the right way.

The higher realms and the lower realms.

The higher realms and the lower realms is just like a developed countries and a less developed countries. A developed country have problems like heart diseases and those social problems and a less developed country have starvation and poverty..etc.

Most buhddist that are cultivating hopes to be out of the samsara and be relieve of suffering and seek enternal peace. However, what makes this task so arduous or almost impossible. The six realm when put together becomes a rubik cube( the colourful cube that pple use to play ), you have to solve the six side but when you manage to solve one side, you realised you have neglected the other 5 sides and your fail. Some pple manage to solve almost the whole cube but as they were about to solve it, they realise they have did some parts wrongly and have to go back to step 1. It is only after many time of learning, did some lucky pple manage to learn. But some pple still stuck in this 6-sides and keep going in circles not knowing what to do.

The animal realm speaks of ignorance, ( Human , Deva and asuras ) Seldom have ignorance in mind. Why? As you can observed, most humans beings are very sensitive creatures, we know when to retreat and when to hide, know when pple are saying things about us. This shows we are not at all that ignorant as animals. But because we are not ignorant, we tend to know too much and it is too much for us to handle. We will start to walk on the wrong path and lead to Anger/Hatred..etc.

So far only manage to infer so much. If my inference is kind of wrong, please correct. Thanks. I am a weirdo, Like praises but like criticism(Good) more. :)

Ya first of all must "po" the forum starter for the great job of posting those valuable stuff although i must say some chinese is too chim for me

Here comes my personal view on buddhism, i must stress that i am a free-thinker so just a peronal point of view.
Desire= strong wish also mean die die must hv.
Buddha also "wish" to end the suffering therefore he seeked the WAY.
So if u dun wish or hope to gain enlightenment then u also wont be follow buddhism. This is also understand urself, the true you.
As for other realm,
Animal realm( u might not hv the wisdom to think n digest wat u learnt).
Hungry ghost realm( if u r hungry, u also wont be in the mood to learn)
Hell realm ( i guess u will be too busy with ur suffering)
God realm (in comfort zone, too comfort to tot of other??? i dunno)
Asura realm ( i dunno wat kinda of place is that)

Dont be too minded about the religion thing.

Buhddism speaks of equal, therefore, no boundaries set by it either.

probably because of human complete 心，身，灵。。 therefore, Human realm is the best realm to cultivate...

Can further elaborate on the complete 心，身，灵。。

Xiao di here know very little so qing da jie duo duo zi jiao. :)
